A few weeks ago, we hosted our second aerial video contest!

There were lots of great submissions, but the Drone Launch team chose our 8 favorites. Then, we opened up voting to YOU, the Drone Launch community.

Through bracket-style voting on our Instagram story, the Drone Launch community chose the winning video.

We’ll tell you the winner at the end of this blog post so that you can scroll through the top 8 videos and see if you can guess which one won!

Here are the top 8 videos (in no particular order)!

Torin Johnson

Rye, New Hampshire

This was filmed on a home-built 5" FPV racing drone.

“This clip is part of a music video that I shot for the motorcycle rider.”

Chris Wardzala

Cannon Beach, Oregon

Autel Evo 2 Pro

“I had no Halloween plans so I drove out to Cannon Beach to catch a sunset.”

Joey Barone

Crested Butte, Colorado

DJI Mavic 2 Pro

“This video is from a recent 2-day roadtrip with my fiance from our home in Denver. We were supposed to be married that weekend, but we had to postpone our wedding indefinitely due to COVID. She was feeling particularly down about this supposed to having been our wedding weekend, so I wanted to still take her somewhere special where we could be together.

We are new to Colorado, so this was our first time seeing the Aspens in full bloom – and it was incredible. More importantly, after a year of job loss, stress from the pandemic and the wedding-postponement, this little weekend getaway brought me and my fiance closer together and reminded us that we’re in this together.”

Jackson Gould

San Diego, California

DJI Mavic Air 2

“Caught a sailboat coming out of Mission Bay at sunset.”

Cameron Goldberg

Evergreen, Colorado

Shot on 5" FPV drone. Frame from Project399.

Best watched on repeat 😉

Caleb Bow

Oahu, Hawaii

DJI Mavic 2 Pro

Covid is when I started flying a drone and all the tourists were gone, so it gave me access to beautiful areas without a lot of people.

This video shows my daily life and adventures around the small island I was isolated on.

Diego Rivera Kohn

Instagram: @diekohn

Montreal, Quebec, Canada

DJI Mavic 2 Pro

This huge mural is a tribute that the city of Montreal made to Leonard Cohen, one of its cherished sons . This is my aerial tribute to him, too.

Toph Lebrun

Paris, France

DJI Inspire 2

It’s a segment of a documentary. It was hard to manage the movement of the drone and the crossing of the subways. It took at least 10 takes to get there.
